Important Dates

  • January 1 – March 31: Application window for Foundation and Build Dakota scholarships for the Fall semester.
  • September 1 – October 25: Fall application window for Foundation scholarships to be utilized in the Spring semester.

How to Apply

Students use their LATC MyPortal username with @lakeareatech.edu added (username ex: AB123456@lakeareatech.edu) and MyPortal password to access our comprehensive online application. Note: new students will need to have been accepted into their program before receiving a LATC MyPortal username.

If you need help with your LATC email address or password, please contact the Foundation Office at foundation@lakeareatech.edu.

Note: Build Dakota scholars are not eligible for additional Foundation scholarships; however, exceptions may be made if no other qualified applicants are available.

Outside Scholarships

Lake Area Technical College Foundation processes all outside scholarships that students receive from private and non-profit institutions, corporations, or organizations. Students who have an outside scholarship should bring the check or a copy of their award letter to the Foundation office to ensure it is applied to their account.
