About Robotics

Automated systems have improved safety and efficiency in transportation, agriculture, mining, earth/space exploration, weaponry, surgery, laboratory research, and the mass production of consumer and industrial goods. With the constant influx of new technology, industry depends on specialized technicians to keep robotic systems effective and running.

To prepare you for employment in this high-tech world, Lake Area has invested in a new Robotics lab and the latest equipment. You can expect active, hands-on learning, as well as plenty of close interaction with live industry.

How does an E-Degree work?

As a Robotics E-Degree student, you’ll take online courses through Lake Area Tech’s eLearning system. You will also spend approximately 1 day a week (5-6 hrs.) doing lab and project work on the Lake Area Tech campus. That’s right. You will still be on campus!

Why E-Degree?

Lake Area Tech E-degrees are offered in “hybrid” form – an innovative blend of distance and on-campus learning. With hybrid education, you get the flexibility of online courses and the opportunity to work with Lake Area Tech instructors on experience building projects.

How long will it take?

At a part-time pace, you should be able to complete the Robotics E-Degree in 36 months.
