Simulation Center Classes

Lake Area Tech’s Corporate Ed division partners with the LATC Simulation Center faculty to offer simulation-based course offerings. It is the goal of the Simulation Center to integrate the latest in simulated technology and methods of delivering quality education to meet regional healthcare needs. The Simulation Center is managed by staff and committee members. (Click then scroll to Simulation Center).

Lake Area Tech’s Simulation Center, located in the Prairie Lakes Healthcare Center of Learning on the campus of Lake Area Tech, is a modern learning center that includes mock patient rooms, manikins, and simulation equipment. A variety of healthcare scenarios can be ‘simulated,’ allowing students/participants to safely practice hands-on, healthcare techniques on manikins that are programmed to present with realistic patient responses. Programs at Lake Area Tech that utilize the Simulation Center include Physical Therapist Assistant, Occupational Therapy Assistant, Med/Fire Rescue, Med Lab Tech and Nursing. Simulation centers provide students/participants the opportunity to learn and practice in a realistic and controlled environment.

LATC Simulation Center Mission
