Sensory Adventures Camp

Sensory Adventures Camp is a camp for children ages 4-16 with sensory dysfunction from certain disorders such as ADHD, Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and PDD. It is offered by Lake Area Tech Occupational Therapy Assistant faculty and students.

2024 Sensory Camp Dates:

June 3, 4 & 5 (Monday – Wednesday)

The goal of Sensory Adventures Camp is to help children who have difficulties processing sensory information, transitioning between activities, and/or performing gross/fine motor skills. The camp will focus on helping them learn to monitor, maintain, and change their level of alertness so that it is appropriate to a situation or task.

Each child will be given one-on-one attention from an Occupational Therapy Assistant student, as safety is our #1 priority. Each student will devise a customized activity plan to fit the child’s sensory needs. Activities may include sensory crafts, outdoor play, yoga, etc.
