Other Information

Stolen Laptops

A stolen laptop will be treated as a criminal offense and should be reported to the IT Department immediately! The IT Dept will be able to provide you with serial numbers and models. You will be required to complete a theft report with the Watertown Police Department. You will also be responsible for the computer.

Laptop Damage

Students are responsible for repair charges on damaged laptops not covered by the manufacturer’s warranty or the manufacturer’s Accidental Damage Protection warranty.

Should I Insure?

We highly recommend that you insure your laptop above and beyond the Accidental Damage Protection (ADP) warranty against theft, loss or damage. This can usually be done by adding a rider on a homeowner’s/renter’s policy.
