Representing the state of South Dakota, Lake Area Technical College students Ross Weseloh and Brian Berg were among the top ten team finalists in Thursday’s 2010 CISCO Networking NetRiders Skills Competition. The NetRiders competition uses a series of specially designed exams and simulation activities to showcase student’s talent in the growing ITC and networking fields.

Weseloh and Berg are both second year Computer Information Systems students specializing in CISCO networks. In November of this year they qualified to move on to the final “Theater” round of the NetRider’s competition, a 150-minute live, virtual event held via Webex. Weseloh and Berg competed against teams from 47 states and provinces in the United States and Canada, displaying exceptional skill and taking 9th place. They will each receive a Linksys Valet M10 Wireless Router.
