Lake Area Tech Officially Becomes a College

WATERTOWN, SD – As of today, July 1, Lake Area Technical Institute is now Lake Area Technical College. To coincide with its new name, the college has enthusiastically unveiled a fresh, new logo. The new name and logo are the result of state legislative action that changed the names of South Dakota’s four tech schools from Colleges to colleges. Lake Area Technical College’s new logo replaces the previous version, which had been in use for more than 11 years.
The new logo offers an updated look for the college as it concurrently transitions to its new name. The conversion will be slow and deliberate in its launch. Look for the new logo on the college’s social media channels, website at www.lakeareatech.edu, billboards and more as the campaign moves forward.
