Lake Area Technical College Featured in Takeaway Series. Lake Area Technical College is being featured in  “The TakeAway“, a daily and Public Radio International and New York Times news show that is broadcast nationally.

The Takeaway is an award-winning daily news show produced by WNYC in partnership with The New York Times and Public Radio International.  The show airs across the country on more than 200 stations, reaching upwards of 2 million listeners nationwide… The Takeaway is featuring Lake Area Technical College in a special series launching now and  going throughout the academic year.

This original series will draw on Aspen Prize data, set against the backdrop of President Obama’s promise to fund two years of community college education.  The goal of the programming is to deepen public understanding of the role of community colleges in driving economic growth and expanding social mobility in America.
