Job Summary

This position is accountable for coordinating nursing care and maintaining standards of professional nursing.

Responsibilities include:

·        Plans and coordinates patient care, assessment, education, triage, and various other nursing interventions.

·        Collaborates with colleagues, including physicians, to plan, implement, and evaluate care.

·        Empathetically cares for patients during all stages of preventive services, health maintenance, diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up along the continuum of care.

·        Demonstrates competency and uses comprehensive nursing expertise.

·        Required to work 2 rotating holidays/year.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and currently holds an unencumbered RN license with the South Dakota State Board of Nursing.

Obtains and subsequently maintains required department-specific competencies and certifications.

Both ACLS and PALS certifications will be obtained within one year of hire.

Prairie Lakes Healthcare System has a Drug Free Workplace Policy. An accepted offer will require a drug screen and pre-employment background screening as a condition of employment.
