Job Summary

This position is accountable for the coordination of nursing care and maintains standards of professional nursing.

Responsibilities include:

·        Delegate patient care to support staff according to skill level, experience, patient acuity and adequacy of resources.

·        Float to other nursing units to care for patients within their training and scope of practice as needed.

·        A part of the Code Team, Trauma Team and Rapid Response Team.

·        Every 3rd weekend, every 3rd holiday rotation.

·        Flexible Self-scheduling.

·        Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Graduate from an accredited school of nursing and eligible for SD licensure.

Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Pediatric Life Support (PALS), Trauma Nurse Core Curriculum (TNCC) certifications will be obtained within one year of hire.

Other educational opportunities include Trauma Care After Resuscitation (TCAR) and Fundamentals of Critical Care Support (FCCS).
