Part-time Maintenance Worker at Bramble Park Zoo

Rate of Pay:  Wage depending on experience and availability

Hours: Work 24 hours in a seven day period. May include weekends and holidays.

Work environment:  Will perform duties indoors and outdoors which may include inclement weather conditions

Duties:  Under the supervision of zoo personnel:

Perform janitorial duties such as cleaning bathrooms, mopping, hosing and garbage removal.
Assist with duties such as planting, weed control, mowing and care of grounds; and performs snow removal operations.
Assist with daily operational needs of equipment, buildings, exhibits and grounds.
Assist with zoo projects as directed by full-time zoo staff
Perform landscaping and grounds duties as directed.
Other duties that pertain to the daily operation of a zoological park.
 

Desirable Minimum Qualifications:  Applicants should have a high school diploma or GED certificate; some maintenance experience; knowledge of basic hand and power tools; able to work independently; the ability to lift 75lbs; ability to communicate effectively with other staff; must have a valid driver’s license.
