Kristine Brockhoft

Kris Brokhoft

Kristine is the South Dakota FCCLE State Advisor. Her education includes a Bachelor of Science degree in Home Economics Education from South Dakota State University.  Graduate Work includes South Dakota State University;  Recertification courses at Northern State University, South Dakota State University, Dakota State University, Black Hills State University, University of Sioux Falls, Augustana College, Rocky Mt. College, and Montana State University.

Kristine’s professional experience includes: 

  • South Dakota State University, 2016-2022, South Dakota FCCLA StateAdvisor/FFA Support Staff    
  • Winner High School, 1996-2016, Family and Consumer Sciences Teacher/FCCLA Advisor, Concession’s Manager, District WellnessCoordinator, Class Advisor, & Student Council Advisor (2002-2006, 2009-2010)
  • South Dakota Poultry Association/South Dakota March of Dimes,  1986-1991, Home Economist-Public Relations/Event Planning.
  • Elkton High School, 1981-1986, FACS Teacher/FHA/HERO Advisor, Junior Class Advisor, Dance Team Coach

Her personal interests include her spouse, Mike, who farms and ranches in Tripp & Mellette counties. Four children – Nichole, an adjunct professor at UNL and has a private practice as a licensed psychologist in Lincoln, NE; Jonathan, an business account executive for Crossmark in Dallas, TX, and covers southwestern states; Thomas, a Board Certified Internal Medicine Physician at Monument Health in Rapid City, SD; and Christopher, a licensed architect with HDR in New York City, NY.;  and enjoy spending time with four grandchildren – Alaina, Mia, Nicholas, and Michael.  She resides in Brookings during the work week, and assist with farm and ranch duties in Tripp and Mellette counties.
