Installation Repair Technician

Interstate Telecommunications Cooperative, Inc. (ITC), an Equal Opportunity Employer located in Clear Lake, is considering applications for an Installation Repair Technician for the Webster, SD area. Starting pay is $31.15 per hour. ITC is a progressive telecommunications company that provides voice, video, and data services over fiber-optic facilities to nearly 15,000 customers located in northeastern SD and western MN.

Qualified applicants must carry a valid driver’s license with a good driving record and must have a minimum of a two-year degree from an accredited post-secondary institution.

Some of the primary duties and qualifications include:

-Install and repair services and equipment at the customer premises.
-Install, repair, splice, and test fiber-optic/copper cable systems.
-Locate underground facilities.
-Great computer skills.
-Ability to read and interpret documents such as maps, staking sheets, and operating & maintenance instruction manuals.
-Ability to work independently and make sound technical decisions using information at hand.
-Ability to be on-call and work overtime.
-Ability to pass a pre-employment physical & drug screening.
