Tony’s Diesel Service, Inc is seeking a Diesel Mechanic to join their growing company.
Here’s what you will do:
Determines equipment condition by conducting inspections and diagnostic tests; identifying worn and damaged parts.
Service Peterbilt, Kenworth and Freightliner and other Class A trucks
Corrects deficiencies by removing, repairing, adjusting, overhauling, assembling, disassembling, and replacing major assemblies, sub-assemblies, components, parts, or systems, such as, power and drive trains, electrical, air conditioning, fuel, emission, brake, steering, hydraulics; completes machine shop operations; making adjustments and alignments including bearing loads, gear tooth contact, valve mechanisms, governors, oil systems, control linkages, clutches, and traction units.
Verifies performance by conducting tests, adjusting controls and systems.
Maintains vehicle records by annotating services and repairs.
Keeps shop equipment operating by following operating instructions; troubleshooting breakdowns; maintaining supplies; performing preventive maintenance; calling for repairs.
Keeps supplies ready by inventorying stock; placing orders; verifying receipt.

Here’s what you will need to be successful:
High School diploma or equivalent. Mechanic/diesel schooling preferred
Valid Driver’s License
Your own hand tools
Natural troubleshooting ability
Mechanical and/or electric aptitude; proficiency to diagnose and repair
Ability to read and comprehend service and technical information
Work safely

Here’s what we offer:
Competitive pay ranging from $20-$40 per hour, depending on experience
Working Monday thru Friday, and finished by 5:30 daily (no weekends or evenings)

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions
Ability to work in a loud environment on occasion due to the nature of the shop. (Safety gear is provided)
Ability to walk, kneel, step, lift, bend, stoop, reach and grasp objects on a frequent basis.
Ability to occasionally lift and/or move objects weighing up to 50 pounds such as tools, equipment, supplies, etc.
Ability to stand or walk for a majority of each day.
Ability to communicate effectively with customers and staff in both verbal and written format
This job is in a shop environment, and as such, you will get dirty. Uniforms are provided.
