Community U Classes Begin October 9

WATERTOWN, SD – Community U, a series of fun and informative classes, begins in Watertown October 9 and will feature a variety of topics offered to the public. Community U is a project of Watertown H2O-20, Lake Area Technical College, and the community of Watertown.

Classes will be offered Tuesdays and Thursdays through November 29. Each class is an introduction to a skill, hobby, or topic and will be presented by local community members at area businesses or Lake Area Technical College. The Fall 2018 Community U roster of classes includes a wide selection of topics including Smartphone Help, Glacial Lakes Distillery Tour, Echo Dyeing, Mosaics, Travel Adventure Series (US and European cruises, Italy, Eastern Europe, and France), Kayaking Basics, Kitchen & Bath Design Trends, Beginning Stained Glass, Start Spreading the News (media class for business owners), Signature Gallery Tour, BZ Fudge, and U Can Play the Ukulele.

Community U is now beginning its sixth year of offering fun and informative classes to the public. Since its inception, more than 1800 people in our area have signed up for classes. Registration takes place through the Lake Area Technical College website and the registration fee for each class is $5. (Additional supplies fees apply for select classes requiring materials).
