Dana Wolff

Dana joined the Lake Area Tech team in December 2023 as a Financial Services/Business/Accounting General Education Adjunct Instructor. She has 30+ years of professional experience that includes banking, mortgage, investments, accounting, and post-secondary education. She earned her graduate degree in Human Resource Management at the University of South Dakota, Bachelor of Science Degree in Education and Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration at Black Hills State University. 

She has taught at the secondary and post-secondary level and holds a secondary credential as well as a post-secondary credential. As an educator, Dana has taught many financial services and business courses including:  Accounting, Personal Finance, Principles of Investments, Money & Banking, Payroll, Fundamentals of Insurance, Life and Health, Internships, and Human Resource Management.

She continues her professional educational membership by serving on the National Board of Trustees and the Region 5 President for the American Technical Education Association and is an active member of the National Business Education Association.

Regarding her teaching philosophy, Dana believes that learning never ends and that it is a teacher’s role to facilitate the learning and success of their students. She personalizes education with real world experiences and projects.

Dana’s interest includes reading, golfing, crafts and spending time at the lake.

She currently lives in Sioux Falls, SD, but will be spending the winter (January – April) in Arizona.
