Surgical Technology Simulation Lab Ribbon Cutting
WATERTOWN, S.D. – Lake Area Technical College (LATC) will celebrate the opening of its new Surgical Technology Simulation Center with a ribbon cutting and open house at 10 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 30.
The event will take place on the LATC campus, 1201 Arrow Avenue, Watertown. Guests are asked to enter through Door #2 on 11th Street NE, where balloons will mark the entrance.
The Surgical Technology Simulation Center features advanced equipment and learning spaces designed to bring real-world experiences into the classroom. During the open house, Surgical Technology students will lead hands-on demonstrations, offering visitors a firsthand look at how the new center enhances learning and prepares future professionals for the operating room.
“This facility provides our students with access to the tools and environment they’ll encounter in their careers,” said Lake Area Tech President Tiffany Sanderson. “We’re excited to showcase how it will elevate their training and better serve our region’s healthcare needs.”
The ribbon cutting is free and open to the public. Community members, healthcare partners, and prospective students are encouraged to attend and explore the new space.
