Lake Area Tech’s Aviation Maintenance Technology program prepares you for the responsibility that comes with working on aircraft. As one of the region’s few FAA-certified Part 147 programs, it delivers the hands-on training and credentials required to enter the aviation industry with confidence.
You’ll train across all major systems, including airframe, powerplant, avionics, safety procedures, and FAA compliance, working directly on aircraft to build real-world experience. The program is structured to help you progress quickly, with Airframe certification testing after the first year and Powerplant certification following completion.
