Campus Parking

Parking at Lake Area Tech is straightforward. Choose the option that fits how close you want to be and how you move through campus.

All students can select from three permit types: Premium, General, or Economy. One pass covers your vehicle and can be easily moved if needed.

Choose Your Parking Permit Option

Premium Parking – $275 / Year

Located at the center of campus, between the MET and Student Services Center. Includes access to Premium, General, and Economy lots.

General Parking – $150 / Year

Available across six lots surrounding campus. Includes access to General and Economy lots.

Economy Parking – $50 / Year

Located on the north and south ends of campus. A solid option if you don’t mind a short walk.

Getting Your Permit

Parking permits go on sale July 15 through the LATC Student Portal. If you already know what you want, it’s best to secure it early.

Displaying Your Permit

Your permit must be hung from your rearview mirror or placed on the driver’s side dashboard at all times while parked on campus. Permits are assigned to you and your vehicle(s) and may not be shared. Failure to display your permit properly or transferring it to another person may result in a fine or loss of privileges. Permits must be visible in their entirety.

Permit Enforcement

Parking lots are monitored daily from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Parking in the wrong lot or without a visible permit will result in a fine ranging from $25 to $100. Fines will double if not paid within 10 days. Fines can be paid at the Finance Office in the Student Services Center.

A Few Exceptions

Students enrolled in online programs are not required to have a parking permit when visiting campus for school-related purposes.

Students on campus after 3:30 p.m. are not required to display a permit.
