Watertown offers a balanced college experience. Students get a quieter, affordable place to focus on their education while still having things to do nearby. The city has a population of about 22,000 and is located near Lake Kampeska and Pelican Lake, which provide opportunities for boating, fishing, and outdoor recreation. Lake Area Tech does not offer on-campus housing, so students live in off-campus housing in Watertown, SD. Most students choose apartments, rental homes or shared housing close to campus. We do have a housing website with a list of both apartment and house rentals managed by local Watertown leasing companies.

LATC offers a mix of on-campus dining and convenient off-campus food options in Watertown, giving students flexible and affordable choices.
On-campus students can eat at Market 65 or enjoy a coffee at The Mind Grind. Online ordering is available through the Toast app.
