Get Ready for Homecoming Week 2025!

Think your program has what it takes to bring home the hardware? It’s time to prove it during Homecoming Week on September 29 – October 3.

In addition to fun activities celebrating all things LATC, the highlight will be the LATC Olympics – a series of competitions where programs compete head-to-head for glory, honor and a shiny championship trophy!

Teams of four to six athletes can sign up, using the provided link. Each program can have multiple teams, so let’s see who comes ready to compete!

The following is an overview of the week’s activities. Events marked with an asterisk (*) earn points in the LATC Olympics.

Monday, Sept. 29

  • Campus-Wide Scavenger Hunt – All Day, Campus-Wide
    • Find hidden items around campus and exchange them for prizes in the NET!
  • *Window/Door Decorating Challenge – All Day, Campus-Wide
    • Show your LATC spirit by decorating your program’s doors, windows or both. Judging will take place on Wednesday, Oct. 1.
  • *LATC Olympics: Steal the Flag – 4:30 p.m. on the LATC Green (north of Market 65)
    • Test your speed, strategy and teamwork in a fast-paced battle to capture the other team’s flags without getting tagged.

Tuesday, Sept. 30

  • Surgical Technology Ribbon Cutting Ceremony – 10:30 a.m. in the Surgical Technology Program
    • Join our Surgical Technology Program as it celebrates the grand opening of its new classroom and laboratory facilities.
  • *LATC Olympics: Bridge Building Competition – All Day in the NET
    • Show off your engineering skills! Build a bridge with provided materials and see if can stand the test. Judging will take place at 4:30 p.m. in the NET.
  • Campfire and Music – 7:00 p.m. on the LATC Green
    • Join us for s’mores, live music and good vibes!

Wednesday, Oct. 1

  • *LATC Olympics: Rock, Paper, Scissors Tournament – All Day, Campus-Wide
    • We’re turning a simple game into a campus-wide showdown. Teams are given beaded necklaces at the beginning of the day. See someone wearing beads? Challenge them to a duel. The teams with the most beads at 4:30 p.m. win! Judging to take place on the LATC Green.
  • *LATC Olympics: Put Out the Fire Relay – 4:30 p.m. on the LATC Green
    • Teams race to “gear-up” like a firefighter in this challenging test of coordination and endurance. Can anyone beat the MFR teams?

Thursday, Oct. 2

  • LATC Olympics: Softball Toss – 4:30 p.m. PREMIER Softball Complex
    • The final competition is pretty straightforward. Who can throw the farthest? Stick around afterward to cheer on your favorite intramural softball team!

Friday, Oct. 3

  • Spirit Day – All Day, Campus-Wide
    • Dress up in your favorite LATC gear and come to the Admissions Office to have your picture taken! Prizes awarded for: Most Creative, Most Spirit and Funniest.
  • Olympics Trophy Presentation: Noon in Market 65
