A Concrete Worker is responsible for placing, finishing, protecting, and repairing concrete in construction projects such as sidewalks, roads, curbs, foundations, slabs, and other structures. They work with construction teams to prepare job sites and ensure concrete is mixed, poured, and cured according to specifications.

·       Site preparation: Clean and prepare construction sites for concrete work

·       Set up forms and ensure proper placement of reinforcing materials like rebar or wire mesh

·       Mixing and pouring concrete: Mix concrete using hand tools or power mixers

·       Direct the casting of concrete into molds or forms

·       Pour, spread, and level concrete using rakes, shovels, and screeds

·       Finishing concrete surfaces: Smooth out concrete using hand trowels, power trowels, and floats

·       Apply curing agents and sealants to protect the concrete

·       Cut expansion joints to control cracking

·       Create decorative textures or finishes if required

·       Maintenance and repair: Patch and repair damaged or old concrete

·       Remove forms once concrete has cured

·       Clean tools and equipment after use

·       Safety and compliance: Follow safety regulations and use proper protective equipment 

·       Operate machinery like power tools, mixers, and compactors safely

·       Communicate with supervisors and team members to ensure a safe worksite
