Overview
The Titan Machinery Business of Sales Internship will provide individuals with the opportunity to work alongside dealership teams in the wholegoods, rental, parts and service sales and administrative processes within one of our Agriculture or Construction Equipment locations. This experience will include a formal orientation, exposure to all sales areas, opportunity to travel, direct mentorship and professional development. The Intern will learn product knowledge:
Research equipment brands/attributes/descriptions
Analyze inventory management practices
Participate in field demonstration and trainings
Assist with marketing initiatives
The Intern will gain experience in the wholegood, parts, service and rental (where applicable) sales process:
Understand and assist in financing, trade appraisal, sales packet completion
Become familiar with the rental inventory and fleet management
Understand company parts inventory process to assist external and internal customers
Observe service department through scheduling, warranty and service sales
The Intern will engage in customer relationship building:
Participate in prospecting
Navigate customer relationship software
Participate in ride-a-longs
Observe lifecycle of customer experience
The Intern will be given opportunities for professional development:
Attend department and area meetings, when applicable
Learn independent problem-solving, time management and communication skills
Participate in networking with team members, manufacturing partners and customers
Assess business/customer needs or improvements and propose solutions
Qualifications
4 completed semesters towards degree in Agriculture, Business, Sales, Marketing, or related field by start of internship
Must be able to regularly and reliably attend work on a part-time schedule for a duration of 8-12 weeks (35-40 hours a week) during the summer months
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, along with a high level of computer literacy
Strong organization, decision making, and problem solving skills
Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines efficiently and cost effectively
Keen attention to detail and a high level of initiative and ability to work independently
Excellent customer service skills
A willingness to learn
Capacity to perform in a fast-paced changing work environment
Ability to handle and resolve interpersonal conflict
Potential to respond quickly, accurately, and professionally to demands and requests from customers and employees
