Job Title: Auto Body Technician Job Summary We are seeking a skilled Auto Body Technician to inspect, repair, and restore vehicles damaged from collisions, wear, or other incidents. The ideal candidate has strong technical skills, attention to detail, and a commitment to high-quality workmanship and safety standards. Key Responsibilities Inspect damaged vehicles and assess repair needs Perform body repairs including dent removal, panel replacement, frame straightening, and alignment Sand, fill, grind, and prepare surfaces for painting Repair or replace damaged parts such as doors, fenders, bumpers, and hoods Use hand tools, power tools, and specialized auto body equipment safely and effectively Match paint colors and apply primers, paints, and finishes when required Follow manufacturer specifications and shop procedures Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment Communicate with supervisors and team members regarding repair progress Qualifications High school diploma or equivalent (technical school preferred) Proven experience as an auto body technician or similar role Knowledge of vehicle structures, materials, and repair techniques Ability to read repair estimates and technical manuals Strong attention to detail and time management skills Valid driver’s license Preferred Skills ASE or I-CAR certification Welding and frame repair experience Experience with computerized estimating systems Physical Requirements Ability to stand for long periods Lift up to 50 lbs Perform bending, kneeling, and repetitive motions Work Environment Auto body repair shop with exposure to noise, dust, and chemicals (PPE provided)
