CNC Machinist

Want to work 36 hours but be paid for 40? Three 12 hour shifts, Thursday – Saturday, but paid for 40! Scherer Inc. is in need of a motivated individual to assist continued growth! Scherer Inc. produces replacement kernel processor rolls, offers a complete line of mill rolls for both stationary and portable roller mills and provides a full-service manual machining service for both repair and small production runs.

Qualifications
-CNC Machinist schooling or experience as a machinist

-Proficiency in blueprint reading and mechanical knowledge
– Experience in manufacturing and machining processes
– Familiarity with using calipers, micrometers, and precision measuring instruments
– Proficient in CNC lathe & horizontal milling operation
– Knowledge of Mazatrol, CNC programming, and GD&T
– Ability to use hand tools, tooling, and power tools efficiently
– Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and assembly processes

Responsibilities
In the role of CNC Machinist, your responsibilities will include:
– Programming and operating CNC machines for precision machining.
– Utilizing Mazatrol system for efficient production.
– Applying mechanical knowledge to troubleshoot and optimize CNC lathe & milling operations.
– Using power tools and hand tools for assembly and machining tasks.
– Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and quality standards.
