Job Summary
This full-time (8:00 am-4:30 pm) position performs necessary tasks in storing and maintaining equipment and medical supplies utilized throughout the Prairie Lakes Healthcare System.
Responsibilities include:
Maintains par-level systems; controlling, issuing, and delivering medical/surgical supplies and equipment to assigned supply areas.
Maintain accurate charge master for surgical services.
Conducts product research to assist in decision-making regarding new products.
Process invoices, and credit documents, and verifies price discrepancies and backorders.
Stores freight on shelves and maintains neatness and orderliness in the storeroom.
Assures availability and integrity of supplies through proper storage, rotation, and outdate processes.
Assists with duties such as typing, filing, data entry, record keeping, and answering telephones.
Acts as a liaison between nursing and materials management.
Compares identifying information of incoming and outgoing shipments to verify information against bills of lading, invoices, orders, or other records.
Receives incoming shipments, inspects for damage, and item discrepancies, and corresponds to rectify issues.
Maintains appropriate inventory of shipping supplies, proficient in UPS, FedEx, and USPS procedures.
Enters receiving, pricing, and adjustments, into a computer system to assure accuracy of inventory and item profile.
Other duties may be assigned.
Wages
Hourly wage range is $16.25-$24.24

Qualifications
High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or equivalent combination of education and experience. Medical background helpful.
A valid South Dakota driver’s license is required.
