Metal Fabricator

Pierre Steel Manufacturing, located in Pierre, SD, is offering a summer apprenticeship for a Metal Fabricator/Welder. Pierre Steel Manufacturing was founded by Brodie Martin and Clay Solberg to produce custom heavy truck parts for its sister company, Solberg Industries.
With this job, the ideal candidate must have some knowledge and skill on how to operate a welder, press brake, tube bender, plasma table, and a bandsaw.
The shop duties include general welding and metal manufacturing projects, minor repair jobs, and processing of sheet metal.
Requirements include good communication, attention to detail, ability to multitask and work independently. PSM would prefer the candidate to have a basic knowledge of metal fabrication, and some CAD/CAM experience.

This is considered a full-time position and would provide 32-40 hours weekly. Pay ranges from $21-24 an hour dependent on experience. This position also has the option to become a permanent team member.
