Job Description
This is a fast-paced position operating multiple machines simultaneously on the shift. The candidate will be responsible for machining parts, building and repairing fixtures, and sharpening tools.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
Set up and operate CNC and conventional machines and grinders.
Know inspection tools and how to use them to ensure parts meet print Demonstrated ability and experience with tool sharpening, grinding, welding and heat treating.
Demonstrated ability to generate working drawings and/or sketches to tools and fixtures.
Demonstrated ability to design, build and maintain jigs, fixtures and tooling, including an understanding of air, hydraulic and electrical components as they are used in these areas.
Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent
A Technical Certificate or Associate Degree in a Machine Tool program or 5-7 years of previous experience is required
1 year of experience with mathematics including trigonometry, drawings and measuring devices required
Must have the ability to read and interpret engineering drawings including geometric tolerancing.
Position requires a team player, a self-starter with good communication skills
Must be able to stand for the entire shift and have the ability to lift 50lbs
