Background

We are passionate about the stone industry and have mining operations and a fabrication division for our natural stone products. We are looking for a Maintenance Technician/Mechanic to assist the Maintenance Lead in completing and understanding all maintenance on production and mobile equipment. Seeking candidates that excel in a team environment and are resourceful in solving maintenance issues to ensure maximum equipment uptime.

Maintenance Technician/Mechanic Responsibilities:

– Able to troubleshoot and problem solve maintenance issues
– Completes prioritized list of Maintenance Work Orders
– Executes Service Schedule Maintenance per recommended manufacturer guidelines
– Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance
– Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; using hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools
– Perform minor servicing and maintenance on mobile equipment as needed, using ladders to access platforms, and landings.
– Applying electrical diagnosis, experience, and knowledge is a plus
– Tests and operates all equipment before and after repairs
– Expected to assist with all types of equipment ranging from Heavy Mobile – Equipment to Fixed Production Machines.
– Will be responsible for maintaining clean areas
– Follow all company policies and MSHA & OSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
– Strong Diesel Mechanics is a plus
– Assist in training less–experienced employees on the proper operations, servicing and repair of equipment to further their abilities.

A mixture of working indoors and outdoors all seasons. Help in both Plant & Quarry sites (in Mankato) with occasional short-term travel.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $20.00 – $28.00 per hour
