CNC Machinist:

Primary Job functions will be CNC Turning Center, Program/Setup run per Work Order. This position requires a self starter.

CNC Machinist Job Description


Read and understand manufacturing documents including but not limited to engineering drawings, setup instructions, engineering standards, work instructions, etc.

Assist Machinists to set up, adjust, and operate a variety of machine tools within a department.

Monitor machining processes and adjust or replace tooling as required.

Perform necessary inspection of produced parts to ensure parts meet the print requirements.

Collect and input SPC data when required.

Perform preventive maintenance on machines as required.

Keep supervisor informed of any maintenance related problems with machines.

Use computers to document and record information required for process compliance.

Post machining and/or side operations as required.


High School Diploma, or equivalent.
Completion of a 2 year associates degree in machining or 4 years of experience operating multiple machine tools.
Proficient with the use of computers and PC skills related to manufacturing.
Ability to read and understand manufacturing documents and blueprints.
Strong interpersonal written and oral communication skills.
Proficient at reading and understanding CNC programs.
Knowledge of various inspection devices used to inspect machine parts.
Ability to operate multiple machine tools with minimal supervision and maintain established performance levels for quality and quantity.
Understanding of safety rules and regulations to prevent unsafe set-ups, operations, or acts which might cause injury to self, others, or environment.
