Our Lawn & Garden and Compact Equipment Salesperson sells new and used lawn and garden equipment and utility tractors to customers with internal and external sales calls.

Responsibilities

Sell equipment in a fast-paced sales environment
Complete sales process including generating purchase orders, quotes and work orders
Understand and assist customers with financing as needed
Represent the dealership at events outside the dealership as needed
Safely and correctly load, unload and deliver equipment to customers as needed
Complete training required for the development of skills and knowledge
Operate and maintains vehicle, tools and equipment required to perform job responsibilities
Maintain a clean work area and performs work in a neat and orderly fashion
Follow all safety rules and regulations in performing work assignments
Work cooperatively in a team environment
Demonstrate a good work ethic
Employ good time management skills and the ability to work independently
Exhibit a constant commitment to customer service
Communicate effectively one-on-one and in groups
Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers and management
Maintain current knowledge of John Deere and competitive products

Experience, Skills and Knowledge

1+ years equipment sales experience preferred
Experience connecting with customers and establishing rapport
Able to maintain a professional image
Demonstrate basic understanding of the selling processes
Demonstrate ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and independently
Able to lift, bend and carry
Experience using standard desktop applications like Microsoft Office and internet applications
Ability to work flexible hours including Saturdays
Valid driver’s license with an insurable driving record required
CDL (Commercial Driver’s License) preferred
