Childcare Center Director

The Daycare Director at Hand in Hand Daycare is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the daycare center, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and educational environment for children. The Director will manage staff, develop curriculum, maintain compliance with state regulations, and foster positive relationships with parents, staff, board members and the community.

Director Qualifications:

1. Be at least 18 years old

2. CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).

3. Education:

a. Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, or a related field OR

b. Have a two-year degree in early childhood education childhood education OR

c. Have a child development associate (CDA) credential or comparable, as determined by the department  OR

d. Hold a certification in a specific child learning philosophy and have at least one year of experience in a child care setting OR

e. Have a child development technician diploma or 4 years of experience in a center or school age program
