Job Description:

Design Roof and Floor Truss Systems: Utilize software to design wood trusses for floor and roof structures. Proactively address design and engineering challenges through accurate plan interpretation, expertise, and clear communication with both internal and external customers.
Estimate Roof and Floor Truss Systems: Develop precise material lists for estimating project costs, ensuring economical and appropriate use of materials based on current inventory availability and costs.
Truss Design Software Ownership: Become the primary expert user of Simpson Truss Design software, producing quality exports. Generate production files and maintain comprehensive records and reports for each job.
Design Schedule and Q.C.: Manage the design schedule to ensure timely quotes and design delivery, strengthening customer relationships. Support the training and development of other designers as needed.
Personal and Professional Development: Actively pursue knowledge of industry standards and best practices in designing wood trusses for floor and roof structures. Understand how your design decisions affect shop assembly and on-site construction to optimize time efficiency and material usage.
Relentless Obsession: Develop deep expertise in Simpson Truss Design software and processes to deliver an exceptional customer experience with a focus on accuracy and efficiency.
