Maintenance Intern

The Maintenance Intern will interact with Maintenance Technicians and Plant Operators to learn plant systems and sub-systems from a maintenance perspective. Intern in this role will gain practical experience by learning the safe and efficient repair and the preventative maintenance on the plant equipment. 

Essential Job Functions

Required to operate equipment that includes the following: aerial lift, skid loader and pay loader. 
Assist repair or replacement of plant equipment or systems on a scheduled or emergency basis.
Assist in performing preventative maintenance activities as required.
Assist with diagnosing and troubleshooting maintenance related issues.
Assist with new installations and other projects as requested by supervisor.
Participate in programs and procedures required to ensure plant cleanliness.
Assist in repair of mechanical equipment such as pumps valves compressors etc. 
Conduct hands-on training.

To perform the essential functions of this position successfully, an individual should be able to demonstrate and provide the following: 

High school diploma or equivalent required. 
Must be pursuing education in a field related to industrial maintenance or operation and enrolled at an accredited educational institution. 
Knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite and the ability and willingness to learn new software applications. 
Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills as well as the ability to adapt to change.
