Job Summary
Gillette Law Office, PC in Redfield, SD is seeking a detail-oriented, highly organized
Legal Assistant to join our legal team. The successful candidate will provide
administrative and legal support to attorneys, assist with document preparation, case
management, client communications, and filing systems.
Key Responsibilities
• Draft, proofread, and file legal documents and correspondence
• Organize and maintain physical and electronic case files
• Schedule meetings, court dates, and appointments
• Communicate with clients and other parties as directed
• Perform administrative tasks such as answering phones, managing calendars, and
handling mail
Qualifications
• High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s or bachelor’s degree
preferred
• 1–3 years of experience in a legal support role preferred
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
• Good organizational skills, writing ability, computer aptitude and the desire to learn.
