Communication Operator – Dispatcher

Communication Operators respond to emergency and non-emergency calls for assistance and information.  Some typical duties include: receives and transmits routine and emergency telephone and radio traffic; dispatches and coordinates police, fire, animal control and other municipal equipment; maintains and processes a variety of communications paperwork, records, and logs.

The ideal candidate must be an excellent communicator and able to remain calm and composed, especially in emergency situations.  You must be able to multi-task as well as take the appropriate action with little supervision.

Testing Date:  Tuesday, July 15th promptly @ 9 am.
     *Unless you are a certified candidate, you must test to be considered for the Communications Operator – Dispatcher position!

Interviews will take place on July 15th & 16th for all candidates who pass the test.

2024 Wage Range $22.84- $30.90
