Children’s Home Shelter for Family Safety is currently seeking a Full Time Maintenance Technician to maintain designated buildings, equipment and grounds and respond to various maintenance requests from staff.

What You’ll Do:
Your responsibilities as a Maintenance Technician would include: 

Monitor and provide assistance where needed to ensure buildings are in good condition, clean and safe.
Paint, woodwork and repair as needed.
Light electrical and plumbing duties.
Ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely including the operations of company vehicles.
Care for landscape and seasonal needs of grounds.
Participate in snow removal as assigned.
Report needed repairs, damage or safety hazards to supervisor and follow through on directions.
Enter data regarding maintenance repairs and safety concerns as necessary in the maintenance system.
Place orders with appropriate staff for the purchase of maintenance tools, materials, parts or supplies as needed.
Assist in set up and tear down of tables, chairs, etc. for events.

Cleaning products, materials, tools and equipment are consistently utilized within safe operational guidelines, and licensing and accreditation and Agency standards.
 

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8am-5pm with some on-call hours. 

 

Compensation: $20.00/hr+ (Depending on Experience/Education)

Requirements
Experience/Education/Skills:

High school degree required.
Minimum two years experience in building and/or mechanical trades preferred.
Knowledge of and ability to use personal computers and software utilized by the office.
Valid driver’s license.

 

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

Must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Requires standing for extended periods of time. Some exposure to cleaning chemicals, requiring attentive and safe utilization.
