We are seeking a skilled Welder/Machinist to join our team, specializing in the fabrication and repair of agricultural and industrial equipment. The ideal candidate will have experience in both welding and machining, with a focus on agricultural machinery and components. This role involves working with various metals to fabricate, repair, and maintain high-quality parts that keep our customers’ equipment running smoothly.

Responsibilities:

  • Welding: Perform welding on a variety of metals (steel, aluminum, stainless steel) using techniques like MIG, TIG, Stick, primarily for agricultural equipment.
  • Machining: Operate lathes, mills, and other machining tools to fabricate parts, components, and assemblies for agricultural machinery.
  • Repairs & Modifications: Repair, modify, and upgrade agricultural equipment, ensuring optimal function and longevity of parts.
  • Safety: Follow all safety guidelines and protocols, ensuring a safe working environment for yourself and your team. Wear appropriate protective equipment while working with heavy machinery and welding tools.
  • Documentation: Keep accurate records of materials, time spent, and work completed for each project. Provide detailed reports of any issues encountered.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Welder and Machinist, with hands-on expertise in welding and machining for agricultural equipment or similar machinery.
  • Proficient in welding techniques (MIG, TIG, Stick) and machining operations (lathes, mills, grinders).
  • Experience with precision measurement tools, including calipers, micrometers, and gauges.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and repair agricultural equipment parts, assemblies, and components.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while managing multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional certifications (e.g., welding, machinist apprenticeships) preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to lift heavy equipment and components.
  • Capability to stand for extended periods.
  • Willingness to work in various environments, including potentially noisy and hot conditions.
