Why did you choose Lake Area Tech?
When I decided to go back to school, I needed a way to balance work and school while continuing to support my family. At the time, hybrid and online classes were not widely available, but Lake Area Tech offered the program I was interested in along with the flexibility I needed to continue working nights in Milbank while traveling to Watertown for school during the day.

What advice would you give a current Lake Area Tech student?
Remember that the instructors are there to help you succeed. Don’t be afraid to ask questions or make mistakes — use the time and experience to learn as much as possible.
What makes you proud to be an Alumni of Lake Area Tech?
Lake Area Tech continues to provide both traditional and non-traditional students with the skills they need to build a rewarding career without graduating with a staggering amount of debt. I’m especially proud that my daughter is following in both her parents’ footsteps and enrolling at Lake Area Tech this fall.
What advice can you give to Lake Area Tech students that will be entering the workforce?
Have confidence in the knowledge and skills you’ve gained at Lake Area Tech. The hands-on experience you receive — along with any internships — helps set you up for success in your chosen field.
