Dual Credit Scholarships Available Again for Eligible High School Students

WATERTOWN, S.D. – The Lake Area Technical College Foundation is once again offering Dual Credit Scholarships for the 2026-2027 school year to help eligible high school students reduce the cost of their Lake Area Tech dual credit courses. Applications will be accepted online until September 14, 2026.

The scholarship provides financial assistance to students who are registered for dual credit classes through Lake Area Technical College and demonstrate financial need.

“Dual credit courses are a great way for high school students to get a head start on their college education while still in high school,” said Rosemary Bellum, Dual Credit Coordinator at Lake Area Technical College. “We know that the cost of college courses can be a consideration for families, and these scholarships provide an opportunity for eligible students to participate in dual credit and begin earning college credit.”

Bellum works with high school students and counselors throughout the dual credit enrollment process and can assist with questions about the scholarship and application process.

An access code, provided by high school counselors, will be required to access the application form.

The Foundation encourages high school counselors and students to reach out with any questions regarding the scholarship process or required documentation.
