Prerequisite

Applicants are required to be a high school graduate or possess a GED.
Applicants must be a past graduate of a board approved dental assisting program of study at least one academic year in length or have written documentation from a licensed dentist verifying a minimum of one year current work experience (1500 hours)as a chairside dental assistant. Documentation must include a written letter of recommendation and payroll report verifying hours.   Students will be sent out a checklist via email that they will be required to complete prior to coming on campus for the hands on portion.  The checklist will include functions the student should already be doing or exposed to. The licensed dentist will need to sign off on this sheet.  The student will be required to bring it the first day on campus or email it prior.
Applicants must show proof of CPR to the Health Care Provider Level.

Computer Requirements

Having a computer that is operating on the latest operating system, with an efficient processor, adequate memory and storage space will greatly benefit your on-line learning. It is also very important to have an adequate internet connection to allow for more timely transmission of media content and file transfer ability. Dial up connections may make it very difficult or impossible to attain some of the program content.
