Advanced Manufacturing & Safety Training
Lake Area Tech’s Corporate Ed division provides local and regional manufacturers training for both new and current employees. For new employees, we can coordinate short-term basic skill set training and for current employees, we can coordinate advanced manufacturing and safety training. Both avenues assist in increasing business production capabilities by upskilling your employees.
We have worked with manufacturers in areas including electronics, welding, robotics, and torque certification. Some of our most popular offerings include:
HAZWOPER Training
This training is designed for employees who are involved in clean-up operations, voluntary clean-up operations, emergency response operations, and the storage, disposal, or treatment of hazardous substances or uncontrolled hazardous waste sites. This training is for individuals who have already successfully completed either a 24-hour or 40-hour HAZWOPER course.

Minimum class size: 5 participants, maximum of 15
OSHA 10 Construction Training
If you work in construction you need to know how to spot, avoid, and report the safety and health risks you encounter daily. This training will help you understand how to navigate common job-site hazards to feel safe at work. The OSHA 10 Construction training is designed for entry-level workers in construction, demolition, building development, and other fields in the construction industry. It includes a detailed overview of the most common risks of construction work, including fall hazards, caught-in or -between hazards, struck-by hazards, and electrocution.

Minimum class size: 5 participants, maximum of 15
OSHA 30
The OSHA 30-hour General Industry course is designed to educate workers on workplace and job site safety. Those who successfully complete this training will become familiar with recognizing, avoiding, preventing, and stopping potential job site hazards. An OSHA 30 card in General Industry will be issued upon completion of this class.
