2026 Sensory Camp Dates

June 8 – 10 (Monday – Wednesday)

Location: Joy Ranch – Watertown, SD

Cost: $10 (applied toward camp t-shirts)

Sensory Adventures Camp is designed for children ages 4–16 who experience sensory challenges related to conditions such as ADHD, Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, and PDD. The camp is led by Lake Area Tech Occupational Therapy Assistant faculty and students.

The program focuses on helping children improve sensory processing, transitions between activities, and gross and fine motor skills. Through structured activities, children learn to recognize and adjust their level of alertness to better match the situation or task.

Each child receives one-on-one support from an OTA student, with a customized activity plan tailored to their individual needs. Activities may include sensory crafts, outdoor play, and movement-based exercises such as yoga.
