Apply for Admission to Lake Area Technical College

Congratulations on your decision to apply to Lake Area Tech! All new applicants must submit qualifying test scores as part of the admissions process, and follow the step-by-step guidelines below that will ensure your application is complete. If you have questions about your specific situation, contact our LATC Admissions Representatives to help you sort through it.

Applying to college doesn’t have to be complicated. Follow the steps below to complete your Lake Area Tech application, submit your required documents and stay on track for enrollment.

Before You Apply

Make sure you have:

  • High school transcript or GED
  • ACT or placement test scores (if applicable)
  • Previous college transcripts (if applicable)
  • Program selection
  • Contact information
What you will need to apply:

Your application will be considered incomplete if it’s missing any of the following:

  1. A completed online application
  2. A copy of your high school transcript
  3. Your ACT or ACCUPLACER test scores

The following Lake Area Tech programs require additional testing. Please check the requirements of the program in which you wish to enroll.

After You Apply

  • We review your application.
  • You receive an admission decision.
  • You pay your enrollment fee to secure your spot.
  • You complete enrollment steps with your advisor.

Enrollment Fee

Once you are accepted, you will be asked to pay a $100, non-refundable enrollment fee. Programs at Lake Area Tech are highly competitive and the enrollment fee will secure your spot in the program.

You can pay your enrollment fee online through MyPortal.

Transfer Students Applying to LATC

Lake Area Tech must receive an official transcript from the institution you are transferring from before transfer credits can be awarded. We will only transfer credits that apply to your Lake Area Tech training.
