Accepted Diplomas and Equivalency

Lake Area Tech recognizes a range of educational backgrounds.

Diplomas from online high schools are accepted as long as the institution is accredited by the Higher Learning Commission or a State Board of Education. Home school graduates are also recognized as high school graduates.

Some programs have national licensure requirements that may impact admission, so it’s worth checking with Admissions if you’re unsure how your background fits.

Applicants, including high school graduates, home school graduates, online graduates, and GED holders, must submit qualifying ACCUPLACER or ACT scores as part of the admissions process.
