What was your favorite thing about Lake Area Tech?
Without a doubt, the staff. They made even the hardest days of learning seem manageable and cheered all of us on throughout the journey.

What was the biggest lesson you learned at Lake Area Tech?
I’m not just a number. I lost my farm in a tornado the day before my graduation ceremony. My professors reached out to make sure my family and I were ok. And the Vice President of the school drove to my home, after graduation, with supplies to get us through (including toys for my son). The day I lost everything, I realized I had so much more than an education. I had support well beyond the classroom.

What made you want to continue your education?
I’m a student by nature. Pushing myself to achieve more goals has always been my motivation.

What advice would you give a current Lake Area Tech student?
Take it all in. The school is so much more than walls and books. It’s amazing people who will guide you, support you, and be lifelong friends.

What makes you proud to be an Alumni of Lake Area Tech?
I get to see all the amazing peers who come from LATC. Well-trained, professional, and so focused on providing to the communities we serve in.

What advice can you give to Lake Area Tech students that will be entering the workforce?
The right job is the one that encourages you to learn, provides the resources to do the job to the best of your abilities, and pushes you to succeed. You need to find the right fit for you.
