Kelli Buisker

Kelli Buisker is an Adjunct Instructor in General Education at Lake Area Technical College. She earned her Bachelor of Arts in English Education from South Dakota State University in 1994 and has more than 30 years of experience as a secondary educator specializing in language arts, communications, and journalism. Her teaching career has included positions at Eagle Butte, Sisseton, Sioux Valley, and Brookings High School, where she currently teaches. She also previously taught communications for Lake Area Tech as a dual credit course in 2018.

A resident of the Volga/Brookings area for 20 years, she enjoys life with her husband, Paul, a science educator; her daughter, Lauren, an instructor at Bates College in Maine; and her son, Nathan, who is completing his PharmD at SDSU. In her free time, she enjoys reading, cooking, gardening, and spending time with family—especially in the summer when life slows down and hobbies take center stage.
