Carlyn Ross
Carlyn Ross is a Clinical Instructor with Lake Area Technical College, bringing hands-on nursing experience and a strong passion for patient care to her role. She became a Licensed Practical Nurse in 2018 after attending college in St. Cloud, Minnesota, and passed her RN boards in 2019. Carlyn will begin an RN-to-MSN bridge program this August, continuing her commitment to lifelong learning and advancing her nursing career.
She began her career as an LPN on a Neuroscience unit in central Minnesota, caring for patients with strokes, brain injuries, and post-surgical needs. She later worked as a PACU nurse at a surgical center in Minneapolis, and during the COVID-19 shutdown, served in acute care and the Emergency Department at a rural hospital near her hometown. Since relocating to Pierre in 2021, Carlyn has been employed full-time in Same Day Surgery and PACU at Avera St. Mary’s.
Outside of nursing, Carlyn stays active with her two children and enjoys time outdoors with her family. She loves days spent on the river, turkey hunting with her husband, exercising, and listening to podcasts.
