Amy joined the Lake Area Tech team in August 2022 as the Academic Support Coordinator. Her degrees include a Bachelor of Arts degree in English Education from North Dakota State University, a Master’s degree in Second Language Studies from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, and a Blended Learning Education Certificate from the University of Hawaii at Manoa Center for Language & Technology. Amy’s experience includes roles as a learning and development professional with over 10 years of experience in English language instruction, program, and assessment design; converted instructor-led teaching into web-based, distance LMS for Chilean University and military English language programs; designed ESP programs from end to end, including curriculum research, course development, implementation, and evaluation; and facilitated in-classroom activities concerning diversity, communication styles, and career transition. In her free time, Amy enjoys traveling, meeting new people, experiencing new cultures and foods, rock climbing, skydiving, surfing, snowboarding, mountain biking, high-altitude mountain climbing, hiking, and knitting.
