Amanda Wientjes

Amanda Wientjes joined Lake Area Tech as a Dental Assisting Instructor in August 2025. A 2011 graduate of Lake Area Tech, she earned her Associate of Applied Science in Dental Assisting before completing her Bachelor of Applied Science in Dental Hygiene at the University of South Dakota in 2013. With more than 12 years of experience in the dental field, Amanda has served in many areas of dentistry, including dental assisting, dental hygiene, and dental lab management. Her diverse background brings both clinical knowledge and real-world experience to the classroom. Amanda has called Watertown home since 2009. She and her husband, Colton, are proud parents of two children. Outside of work, Amanda enjoys camping, reading, DIY home projects, a good cup of coffee, and spending time cheering on her kids at their sporting events.
